James Turnbull commented 2016-12-12 16:46:43 +1300Many people in the UK felt that this was going to a ‘next step’ after Thatcher imposed Poll Tax ( aka Community charge) so that every person aged 18 years an over was basically ‘taxed for existing’
Some pundits suggested a tax on air … but when it was costed out each person would have to be fitted with some sort of air valve and mobile phone type SIM card and operating system … and there’s be probably loads of dead bodies on the streets of those who forgot to pay their airtax on time, who were on their way to top up their air tax or who simply had no cas to top up their account. Dead bodies on the street were seen as a problem … probably NOT a vote winner eh ?
