      We see people forced from their lifelong home by high rates on coastal property. Tax needs to be linked to the ability to pay; that is, an income. But it needs to be seen to be fair. Multinationals should be made to declare NZ income in NZ terms.

      an in the year you are made unemployed you get kicked out of your house and face they transaction fees asdocited with moving house. Forces retirees away from their children and their support. Making a cash outflow demand on people based on a wavering nominal asset value is very damaging to peoples mental health when sonething happens in their life.. like illness, retirement, unemployment. We should do the opposite and have rates holidays for ilness for example.

      Tax reform should be a top seven policy. I’m not sure I agree with this tax option but it would be a case of seeing what it meant and how it impacted people.
