How would you take action on climate change
Okay. So you don't our ideas on climate change action. What would you suggest?
ETS is an insane, huge scam
environmental pollution is made by man, but not climate change. How do you explain the climate change on the other planets in our solar system? Also it's not the CO2 that causes an increase in volcano eruptions and large earthquakes in the resent years. I'm for keeping our environment clean, but CO2 is not a pollutant (plants need it for growth and to produce Oxygen). The ETS is a huge scam and not even worth discussing if the ongoing ego-engineering is completely ignored. Rather tackle the pollution from Fukushima radiation, chemtrails, sewage/storm water, car exhausts, toxic chemicals used in industry and agriculture or even at home, EMF pollution.
TOP Embracing the German model?
I suggest stop referring to climate change phenomena as "completely predictable". Such a statement is a withdrawal from your credibility balance.
The science is NOT settled.
There are reputable scientists who have produced compelling evidence for both sides of the climate change debate. And just one question; why is it no longer called GLOBAL WARMING? Very simple; the world temperature is not increasing as many said it would. The climate has and always will be changing. It has never stayed static and unchanging. Just because scientists say jump - we don't have to say, "How high?" We must be good stewards of NZ, yes, but as for taxing people like me (retired 71) because I burn a little coal to keep warm then I think you are plain wrong. It's fine changing to clean energy so how am I to do that and keep within my budget?
How will fossl fuels be phased out by 2050?
I agree with most of your climate policy. The ETS is not the right tool for the job tho.

The science most defininately is NOT settled!
All, and I mean all, of the numerous models have failed abysmally to predict actual global temperature change. Numerous scientists of high repute who are experts in the relevant fields have attested to the hijacking of this topic; it has become a vast scam, one that costs trillions in funding that could - should - be put to better use. TOP has just joined ranks with the Green Party as verging on loony. We carefully considered what you are proposing as a 'fair carbon cost' some 10 years ago, and determined that the impacts on our economy would be crippling, and all for an infinitesimal impact on CO2 emissions globally. That you are prepared to sell us down the river for science that is still unsettled says everything we voters need to know about TOP priorities. I applaud your determination to address fairness, but the policy front you have committed too is grossly unfair on many levels - it's disappointing that you fail - or refuse - to see those more important levels. Thank you for diluting the left voter block, I look forward to a new National and NZ First centre-right government come September 24th.
focus on real pollution.
In round terms the CAGW discussion is lost it remains likely that the AGW process is in action but NZs real pollution issue is building a strong economy that coexists in a very clean environment. We need to work on our past transgressions and define the RMA as a process of balanced development not a dialog reminiscent of a directed economy where we decide what can and cant be done.
