Build Shared Data Environments for Cross Agency Work
Keeping control of data benefits servicing interests within public agencies. The data relates to people and so is a matter of sovereignty and citizenship. The technology is fairly easy to deploy. This looks like identifying domains where three or more agencies attempt to coordinate service delivery. Build a shared data environment with rules around use, reuse, sharing and integration. Build independent oversight into the environment. Start small and then grow. Priority might be education, housing and health.
