Tēnā koutou. Ko Aotearoa te wā kāinga. Ko Taranaki te wā kāinga ōku tīpuna. Ko Waipā te tūrangawaewae. Ko Pirongia te maunga. Ko Waikato te awa.
My experience varies from volunteering for social enterprises and being a playcentre Mum, to running my own sports business in Ireland, to corporate experience with Hewlett Packard and Ernst & Young in New Zealand and Europe. I also wrote a post-disciplinary PhD thesis (and some academic articles) exploring 'concepts of home' for returned long-term travellers.
I am very worried for our children's future, but The Opportunities Party is my hope. I'm concerned particularly about child poverty and the current Early Childhood Education (ECE) regulations. Children are our most vulnerable citizens. We need to do better by them. So I wrote a policy for The Opportunities Party that puts children back into the centre of learning and takes a 'care and community' approach to ECE. It will be updated for the 2023 election.
I enjoy hiking, cycling and playing sports with my three boys. I speak fluent German and have completed level 1 & 2 te reo Māori through Te Wānanga o Aotearoa. I am passionate about making a difference for New Zealanders across all of TOP's policy areas, and am TOP's Education and Child Development Spokesperson.
