    This is a very good idea. At the very least there needs to be more transparency around how they operate and coordinate with their international counterparts and what/how they communicate with the SIS. Specific and independent mandates are important.

    Interesting. There’s a challenge in that combining agencies builds economy of scale. Splitting them maintains focus and prevents overreach. Just a challenge to work through. Certainly Key’s bill made a lot of noise at the time. A vote attracting minor policy?
