First $10k of income tax free

While I like the idea of universal income I don't think the economy is quite ready for it yet. I'd be happy to see the first $10,000 income being untaxed as a way towards it though - far better to forego income in this way than cutting the top bracket further.

    It’s 10.5% up to $14,000 now. Designing welfare simplification – i.e. a UBI to replace it – is a higher priority.

    If you fix the tax system to remove loopholes & have a single tax %, this won’t be needed
