This is the only sensible solution - once it is given to all adults and is better, fairer and more efficient than the Byzantine welfare system we have at present. WINS employees will be the first to enjoy this income while trying to find a new job. If all adults received a UBI, it would free artists to create, inventors to invent and entrepreneurs to take risks. I can't understand why it's taking so long for the penny to drop for the mainstream parties.

It's time this country did something revolutionary again. Bring in some excitement into solving some problems. The "do-nothing -spectacular - nor-useful or meaningful" part of the political spectrum is overcrowded with. Centre left/right head-in-the-sand. conservatives!

Well done (again) guys. Another simple fix to a complex problem. It's a shame it's so hard to quantify the drop in administration costs associated with a UBI approach.

Once again an entirely logical and forward thinking policy. My only sticky bit is the expected $424m GST element but hey... 'Unintended consequences' of a UBI I am hopeful will be positive. Creating a new culture for the future, and being fully positive will also be key and part of the whole policy mix.

This would be amazing for me with a young baby. We live less than week to week with partner working full time and struggle to buy food... this would help us so so much.

    Dear Top Team

Awesome to see transformation policies, people are sick to the eye balls of yesterdays policies.
He who transforms will hold the balance of power.

And what about the savings in bureaucrats trying to find the odd person who is 'abusing the system'. Surely we are grown up enough to trust 95% of our young to do the right/best thing, and ignore the 5% who don't. The cost/benefit of sifting out the 5% from the rest must be questionable.

Great scheme. Looking to the future in a rapidly changing world. Living in the past will no longer work, if it ever did work.

I love the idea of this age group getting a UBI. As you say, they have a struggle at this age to gain employment or Uni costs, living etc.
