Answer
For sure all productive assets are subject to this minimal tax threshold, irrespective of ownership.

James Turnbull commented 2016-12-07 23:00:50 +1300So, presumably then that means that this can be avoided by a NZ business setting up an independent entity overseas … and perhaps reverse takeover buying out the original NZ owned entity ?
