Tena Koutou Katoa
I was born and bred on the Hibiscus Coast, equally dividing my time between music, rowing, skateboarding, surfing and rugby. I am still now passionate about all of the above.
After leaving school I became a qualified Auto Refinisher, before moving to Queenstown in the mid-2000s to pursue music and snowboarding while working in adventure tourism and screen printing. My family have strong connections to the region.
I am passionate about the local community, mental health, the environment and animal welfare, and I believe the future is TOP.
TOP stands for a fair society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. I really enjoy helping people in any way I can. I have seen a lot of changes, some good and some not so good, but mainly seeing the local landscape being torn up by short-sighted growth and greed.
I am standing to provide the people that feel they have no voice or have been left behind a different option, a new option. An option that gives you a voice, after all a healthy democracy has many different perspectives and ideas at the table. I am proud to be selected as the TOP representative for the region.
