Cycling and Electric bicycle uptake

Cycling and Electric bicycle uptake

Improving the uptake of cycling is simple initiative toreduce CO2 emmissions and reduce public health cost. But its simply not safe to cycle. We need really really safe car free cycling routes not alongside diesel dusted roads so we can cycle again. Take poorly maintained trucks off the road which discourage cycling due to pollution. Put incognito police on bicycles to fine cars which follow cyclists too closely. In other words Implement the laws we already have that would encourage cycling.

Until there are dedicated roadways exclusively for bikes, I’d rather walk. Far too dangerous to mix heavy traffic with bicycles.

Encouraging cycling has been very successful in the Netherlands. It’s a mixture of infrastructure and road rules that heavily favour cyclists.
